Indulgences within: a cool & less touristed Southern Italy itinerary (3 hotels); one of my favorite Italian luxury hotel groups is having a Black Friday sale; a cool island in the South of France and where to stay; my Cartagena (Colombia) hotel list (6 hotels); where I’d stay in Whistler, Big Bear, and Jackson Hole (5 hotels), a luxury tented camp resort in a bucket-list US state park; the only hotel I love in Bermuda; and 3 hotels under $500/night (Colorado, Sardinia, Romania).

1. An under-the-radar Southern Italy road trip itinerary

This is a trip I’m going to do myself this upcoming June. It’s not a trip I would recommend for people traveling to Italy for the first time, nor for people not into learning the language basics. But, this is a highly special trip where you get to discover the coast of Italy as not seen by the Instagram masses. It’s not an ultra luxury trip in terms of hotels with lots of amenities. It is absolutely luxurious in terms of experiencing the beauty of Italy. The trip starts in Naples with a drive to the Cilento Coast, then to Maratea in Basilicata, and finally to Tropea in Calabria.
