What lies within: 127 hotels on my Greece list; a 2-week Portuguese itinerary; an exciting new hotel in Rome opening this Spring; 3 hotels in Japan I’m currently coveting; a Scottish hotel group for cool golfers; a Berlin hotel crush; an ultra-luxury adventure hotel in British Columbia; 3 hotels under $500/night (Nicaragua, Vermont, Swiss Alps)

My Greece Hotel List

When I first started posting on TikTok, people always asked me to share “hidden gem hotels like this…but in Greece.” And at first, second, third…seventh glance this proved much more difficult than for Italy or France, specifically. But, I’ve spent the year and a half since on a mission to find all the most special hotels in Greece. Happy Hoteling-approved ones. The ones with soul, a sense of place, an air of specialness. Good views and “aesthetic” interiors alone do not make this cut. You don’t need me for those - they’re recycled on every travel publication and platform. This is the list for the “I love it here” experience. I’ve gone through and culled the lists from publications and people I trust – even the niche names I admire most I found to be lacking in the Greece hotel department. I unabashedly stalked people who spend a lot of time in Greece. And their friends. And the hotels they follow. I asked around, and around. I spent countless hours zooming into the map of an island, clicking every hotel in search of a gem. The vast majority were no’s, but I found a whole lot of yes.

127 hotels. 54 that I would personally love to stay at. The remainder are still great, but not the most suited to my personal tastes. Friends, family, clients…I know someone that would love each and every hotel listed below. Of course, if I ever stumble upon something new and wonderful, I’ll add it to the list. This is meant to be a tool to plan your future Greek adventures. Happy Hoteling, you good people with good taste!
