The Curation: Volume 24
A guide to every region in Italy, 3 Italian itineraries to book now with last-minute Summer availability, the Italian ferry schedules that are impossible to find, Capri news, Italian Summer playlist
Let’s go deep, shall we? I did. So much so that the whole post will not display in-email. Click on the link at the top to view in browser and you can read it all. It’s very narrative, lots of words, all with intention.
Before I go back to around-the-world coverage, I wanted to share a Happy Hoteling guide of all the regions in Italy. There are so many places people don’t know about, and if my instincts are correct, you’d like me to share them with you. I share all my thoughts, as if I were texting a friend. But also, share the objective info.
Also, I’ve gotten a lot of DMs requesting itineraries and Italian hotels with last-minute availability for a summer trip. I don’t do that for free, naturally, but I did do that for you here. Three in-depth trips with real dates and rates you can book right now. Three different price points. Water-centered, of course.
Next, I share something that I hope will help you for years to come. As far as I know, there is no central resource for ferry timetables throughout Italy. I made one! Probably not entirely comprehensive, but it covers the places I continually talk about and those on the tourist circuit.
Capri news is served straight this week, with honest reviews about the new restaurant openings.
And we end with a long list of link loves, including some great sale pieces and finds from small international designers.
HAPPY HOTELING, you Good People with Good Taste! Next week’s post will be half free, half paid. And it will go live on Sunday, as I have a big week of daughtering. I love to make a noun a verb.
Italy 101: The Regions
the TLDR of Italy’s regions. Who it’s for, when to go, how to enjoy it best. My version of a Lonely Planet-type guide. North to south. When to go, the straight talk, the hotels worth going out of your way for, what other regions pair well for an itinerary. Hopefully, a genuinely valuable resource for anyone traveling to Italy. Even if you don’t need it now, it lives forever in the Archive.
