The Curation: Volume 55
24 additions to The Italy Hotel List, a spotlight on hotels in Bahia, Brazil, and The Florence Files.
I’ve been waiting for this post since I started with The Curation format. If you know me IRL, you know 55 is my favorite number. So, I decided to really over-deliver today. Mostly, because I am just so grateful that you are all here and many of you have been for 55 of these.
First, we have 24 very Special additions to The Italy Hotel List. I pushed this up in my posting calendar, as the time is dwindling to book Italian Summer getaways. And these are so good and deserve to be in the consideration.
Then, I’m sharing a spotlight on Bahia, Brazil. I was going to only share a handful, as I typically do with a spotlight, but I realized I have so much more to share. 26 special hotels. So I did! Throughout the state.
Lastly, it’s the first installment of my new series The Florence Files, which is exactly what it sounds like. Chronicles of me living here. I also decided to record a very short audio note to help illustrate my points on a language thing that I hope will help you in your Italian travels. And yes, I share all the places I’ve been since Sunday that people have been asking about in my DMs. Subtsack, below the paywall, will be the source for this stuff.
Happy Hoteling!
Additions to The Italy Hotel List
24 hotels. 5 in Puglia. 1 in Sicily. 2 in Campania (Amalfi Coast and Naples). 6 in Tuscany (Florence, the countryside, Maremma, Isola del Giglio). 1 in Umbria. 1 in Calabria. 2 in Lombardy (Milan and Lake Como). 4 in South Tyrol. 1 in Emilia-Romagna (Bologna), and 1 in Veneto.
Not a dud to be found, nor a meh. Special hotels only! I prioritized moving this up in my posting schedule as I’m realizing that the time to book Summer travels is now and it won’t be nearly as helpful in a month. Hotel your heart out, you Good People with Good Taste!
(All hotels have been added to the Google Map, for founding members and those who have purchased The Comprehensive Curation of Hotels in Italy).
PUGLIA
Masseria Palombara, between Brindisi and Taranto – A solid addition to the Puglia contenders, luxurious and definitely Pugliese but with a bright and light cool factor that I find lovely. Plus, they have an outdoor cinema in the summer, as well as a cooking school.
