Today’s agenda: My New York state list of 83 hotels (not including NYC), Italian honeymoon hotels in cities, the ultimate Egypt itinerary, where to go in Europe in August and not overheat, 2 new upcoming hotel openings, and a list of non-hotel travel things I saved this week (restaurants, museums, etc).

This post is dedicated in loving memory to Bryan Silverstein, a man I was lucky enough to know since the day I was born. He was my best friend’s dad. Someone my dad has known for nearly 50 years at this point. My best friend and I were born 4 days apart, are only children, with divorced dads. He was family. And proudly born and raised in Buffalo, New York, which is why the New York State list is coming out today. Bryan, I love you. You were one in a million and will never, ever be forgotten. Also, because Bryan loved a deal, I’m having a 24-hour sale for 30% off a yearly subscription through the link on my Instagram Stories.

The New York State Hotel List

My second-favorite state! The only other one I’ve lived in, and man do I love New York. This is the hotel list, minus NYC. An updated list for that is coming soon. This is about the rest of the state. 19 hotels in the Hudson Valley. 24 in the Catskills. (I know there is often debate on Hudson Valley vs Catskills, so they’re divided based on how they describe themselves) 5 in the Finger Lakes. 17 in the Hamptons. 9 on the North Fork & Shelter Island. 5 on Lake Placid. 2 in Saratoga Springs. 1 in Westchester County. 1 in Buffalo. 83 hotels total. A great list for a great place with a whole lot of great people. As always, the names with an asterisk are my personal top choices. But every hotel is a yes.
